A Non Introspective Life Is A Life Wasted

Ever since I can remember I have thought about the meaning of life, death, and human existence.

Why are we here? What happens when we die? What is the nature of a human being?

For me, thinking deeply about these questions is highly stimulating, life giving and an obsession.

To me, a non introspective life is a life wasted.

To simply wander through life without reflecting is like living like a rock or a zombie.

If that’s the type of life you’d like to lead, wonderful.

Again, for me, life is a beautiful dance, an adventure, a meditation, happiness, sadness, joy, suffering.

To not sit and ponder, ask, examine or marvel at the magnificent beauty that life is, is devastating and a travesty.

Furthermore, to not share your learnings with those younger or early on in their journey is a pity.

When I enter a meditative state and analyze my life, I am taken back in to exact moments in time where I can relive the feelings, emotions, sights, sounds and sensations.

I am able to call upon those moments in a time of need.

I can also use those lessons to help guide me in me future endeavors.

Life’s moments and events act as a guide or north star to provide insight into who I once was or who I truly am at my core.

By going back to the beginning or my early years, I am able to transport my mind back to a time of purity, innocence, and sheer wonderment and belief of endless possibilities.

I am fully aware life is also meant to be lived in the moment and I do live in the moment.

I am simply saying, yes, live in the moment, but relive and reflect from time to time on moments of past that can assist you in the future.
