In America, we are programmed by the media, society, companies, advertising to make A LOT of money, “live The American Dream”, with 2 kids, a house with a white picket fence, etc.
Contrast this with Asia, such as Japan, they live very minimally, frugally, and don’t need much to be happy.
As someone who has traveled the world, I have seen unhappy rich people and happy poor people. I have also seen rich happy people and poor unhappy people.
What I am saying is, I have found that having or earning enough money to live free is my chief aim.
By free, I mean being able to do what I want, with whom I want, when I want, as much as I want.
I’ve known this ever since I was a young boy, but along the way this “inner signal” of earning enough money to live a “free life” was lost from my ambitions, society’s programming, parent’s pressure to succeed, etc.
At 36, after much reflection, introspection, and deliberation, I have realized for myself, FREEDOM is my true goal in life.
I am a man who does not need much to be happy.
My values in life are:
- Faith
- Family
- Freedom
- Fitness
- Finances
In that order.
Present day, December 27th, 2024, I do what I want, when I want, with whom I want, as much as I want.
Do I have a million or billion dollars?
No.
Do I need a million or billion dollars to be free?
No.
I am at peace. I have a loving family who loves me dearly and whom I love dearly. I have great health, I get to do what I love, I get to apply my creativity into my work, I am contributing to society through my coaching, writing, videos and businesses. I make good money and am able to use that money to help my family, myself and society.
Am I striving for more success and money?
You bet.
But do I need more than what I have now to continue to live my life?
No. But I am continuing to delve deeper into my passions, obsessions and grow different online & offline businesses, which give value to society and thus I am rewarded for my value.
So I am being me, but also rewarded for being my true self.
And that is also a part of being free.
To be truly me. The ability to truly express myself, my creativity, my uniqueness, eccentricity, quirks, weirdness, gifts, talents and more.
I am free, soverign individual and answer to no one but myself.
That was my goal all along and I have achieved it.
I wish that for you as well if freedom is what you seek.
You can accomplish that as well by doing what I always say, “With hard work, smart work, consistency and dedication, anything is possible and it forever pays.”
Now let’s get to work and go get your freedom.
Love,
Sonam
